Or listen on:

Ok team...

I have an apology to make: after prolific content creation for three to four months, July was a slow month. We released just one podcast episode and one guest case study.

Why?

Well, first of all I was driving around Europe with my dog and fiance... which took up quite a bit of time but second:

As you can imagine, this had a great impact on revenue - it was a record month for revenue by far... you will have to listen to the episode to found out the number ;)

And this is why... going forward we will be dropping the frequency of the case studies to monthly, podcast episodes will remain biweekly.

This will enable me to invest more into the two avenues where it seems we are adding the most value:

The SaaS Marketer community has been incredibly valuable for me and for the people within it. Specifically it has lead me down the road to try to solve the businesses that podcast thing, and if we can do that with service or software... then we should be able to build a pretty big business.

And so, to the big promise of this episode: the one thing that marketers must do to thrive in 2020?

It's simple: make your product both great and remarkable.

If you achieve this... everything else become ten times easier. And if you're a marketer in a bigger business and don't have that much say on the product roadmap... then apply this same concept to your marketing ;)

I go into more detail on this in the episode, and going forward this will be my core focus for both bCast and the podcast service we run.

And for now... that's it.

In summary, we will have less case studies (but still as good and maybe even better), the same number of podcast episodes and MORE learnings from the growth of the service and software :)
